SCHOOL TO SKILLS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH SOFER INITIATIVE

The Coordinator of SOFER Initiative on Tuesday 24th September, 2013 joined forces with Austin Orji, a social change advocate to carry out an Environmental Awareness Campaign to promote a safe, clean and green environment in Akwa Ibom State. Students of Nuco Comprehensive College were involved in the 5 Mile walk to sensitise the people of Afaha-Oku Community in Uyo. Volunteers of SOFER and Youth Corp members (NYSC) acted as group supervisors to direct the students on ways to create impact in their community by being proactive and imbibing positive attitude towards the environment. There were chantings of slogans and approach to residents and marketers on ways to keep their environment safe and sustainable.
