ENERGY ENVIRONMENT AND INVESTMENT FORUM 2014 (1 - 3 July, 2014)

"SUSTAINABLE ENERGY: THE KEY TO AFRICA'S WORLD INTEGRATION" - This was the theme of the Port Harcourt 2014 Energy Environment and Investment Forum. Port Harcourt hosted the world in a 3 Days packed conference with delegates from all over the globe including the former Prime Ministers of Spain and France, the former Presidents of Poland and Ghana amidst other notable delegates from the UN, USA, UK, China and representatives of Africa at home and in the diaspora. Hosted by the Governor of Rivers State, Nigeria, the forum had plenary session on topics such as "Coping with Long and Short Term Impacts Of Hydro-Carbon Exploration on the Environment', "Fostering Innovation- Inspiring the New Generation and Stimulating Growth" etc.. WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2014

It's going to be an exhilarating 3 Day Activities for SOFER Initiative Volunteers and other participating organisations and individuals as we celebrate the World Environment Day 2014. In commemoration of the global event, we have planned an innovative activity alongside a Clean Up Exercise at Uyo Police Barracks and a Rally from University of Uyo to Nwaniba Roundabout . The initiative as always like to dive in creative waters to create awareness on environmental issues. This year, we are making a PICTURE MONTAGE of Environmental Challenges in Nigeria and Solutions, all in one piece.
